Counting Backwards

20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9... it is actually quite difficult to count backwards from 20.

Throughout their early childhood our children hear us count upwards lots; and therefore when they start school they learn quickly how to count up to 20. And if you have ever had a rocket take off then you will have counted down from 10... to BLAST OFF!!

But most of us never count down from 20 and because it is unfamiliar to our children it’s quite hard for them to secure. So today’s task is to find a reason to count down from 20 and get your children to join! Let me know what you counted or how you worked it in to your day...
