Adult Tuition

We offer one-to-one tuition for adults looking to improve their maths ability, take Functional Skills or GCSE exams.

If you are an adult looking to improve your confidence and ability in maths or wanting to take a Functional Skills or GCSE qualification, The Maths Mum® offers one-to-one tuition on a bespoke individual needs basis.

Maybe you struggled with maths as a child and would like to tackle your anxiety with some individual coaching. Or maybe you would like to retake your GCSE Maths to improve your grade or need to sit a Functional Skills exam to give you access to a new career.

The Maths Mum® can cover all aspects of the curriculum up to and including GCSE Higher Level and Functional Skills Level 2.

Maybe your child struggles with a specific topic and would like to investigate ways in which to help. The Maths Mum® has made the conscious decision not to tutor children but will happily work with parent to help identify need and work on strategies to help.

One-to-One Sessions can be booked at a mutually convenient time during school hours or in the evening post 7.30pm. They can be both face-to-face and via video link. Prices will vary depending on topic, duration and frequency. If you are interested in finding out more or arranging a bespoke session please email contact@themathsmum.co.uk.

"After 30 years of believing that I can't 'do' Maths, three sessions with Karen taught me that l can do Maths! Not only did Karen teach me maths that I have spent years not understanding, she also taught me not to be scared of numbers, she taught me self belief and most importantly not to panic! At the age of 46, with her help, I have finally passed my Functional Level 2 Maths and I'm beaming!"
