I have learnt so much. So much to take away, digest, research & act on - just what I wanted and needed. You are brilliant at what you do - you are so clear at explaining everything & your slides too make everything make sense - no easy feat! 
I’m sorry I wasn’t always the easiest pupil - funnily enough I have been told that before!!

Really good, i am sure this is going to be incredibly useful, but really quite a lot of information to go through in a short space of time. Couple of ideas to throw in the mix: 1. Multiple, shorter hits as an option. After 30-45 minutes after a day at work i was a bit frazzled! 2. Turn the handout into something more than just a printout of the slides. The sheer volume of content means i am referring back to it often and it's a bit small and not very easy to navigate.

It is a lot of information to go through after a day’s work! I am looking at alternative ways to deliver in the New Year. And hoping to publish a more ‘book’ style handout.

Karen, thank you so much for a brilliant whizz through the KS1 & KS2 maths curriculum, topped up with lots of great ideas to help our kids with special needs. Such a relaxed, fun day!

Thank goodness this course exists. Maths is taught to our children in such a completely different way now that, even with the help of the internet, I wouldn't have been able to guide my child through the homework. This course has given me enough knowledge so that I can help my child understand what's being asked of them. It also dusted off my own basic maths skills to give me a much needed confidence boost.

Thank you for helping me get to grips with how my daughter is being taught maths at school and how to help her without simply resorting to the methods I was taught when I was at school! The homework situation was getting desperate but I now feel confident that we are speaking the same language and I’m not dreading the next homework session!

I was aware that some areas of the maths curriculum are taught differently today and you helped me to understand how the children are taught and provided some good resources and methods that clearly explained this.

It is a fantastic introduction to how they are now teaching our kids maths. It also helped explain "why are they teaching it this way and not the way we were taught at school". Having taken this course, I can now understand the thought processes of how my daughter gets to answer, which previously was alien to me despite having done A-Level maths!

Great to be able to understand the methods now taught to our children which have developed dramatically since I was at school.

I had attended the KS1 course which helped immensely so I had high hopes for the lower KS2 course. It didn't disappoint! Building on what I had already learnt, The Maths Mum confidently took us through what our children would be covering and the ways in which it will be taught. I now understand the tools my children will use to do their Maths, enabling me to help if needed.

Some of the text on the handout is a little hard to read - combination of pale colour and font I think (and tiredness!).

Having completed the whole of KS2 now, I feel a lot happier to try to help my children with their maths homework (with a bit of reference to the excellent handouts)... Would recommend anyone with children in primary school to take this course.

Have already recommended the course to two friends and I only did it yesterday!! I’m now using the right language with my daughter. Great course. Thank you.

Great course, really recommend it to others. Would be useful to have some ideas (just a list of simple activities) to do with child on day to day basis to help with Maths and make it fun.

The Maths Mum provides a comprehensive introduction to key stage 2 maths. The content is presented in an informative, relaxed & easy to understand way- even I understood it!

Within 24 hours of doing Lower KS2 (yrs 3 & 4) I have been able to help / check a maths homework with confidence! Thank you... Upper KS2 next month...

A great insight into my child’s learning process. Karen was a fabulous teacher and managed to make the lesson fun yet informative.

I have seen a greater increase in parents and children who are willing and are excited to do maths together at home. The children because they enjoy it, and the parents because now they have a better understanding of the processes their children have learnt they can join in confidently and can help their child while necessary.

I have definitely seen a better understanding of HOW we approach maths in Year 2 from those  parents who have attended the course. They are more confident talking to the teachers about maths and asking for help if needed. These parents understand the process more. There is a much more positive approach to using equipment as the parents understand why concrete resources are important for a secure understanding of number.

My first-hand experience of The Maths Mum is someone who has inspired those around her with her incredible energy and passion for maths, both inside and outside the classroom. She makes it her business to seek up to date teaching methods and it is this, I think, that makes her ideally qualified to support those parents who are ‘returning to school’.

A valuable insight into my child's world of maths, which has not changed too much since I was at school, only packaged a little differently to help children of today to explore and recall more easily.
