Exciting New Collaboration

Several years ago, a chance thought about handwriting resulted in an old school friend googling my name and donating to a charity fundraising event I was hosting. We exchanged emails and have been in communication ever since… albeit sporadic due to the ever increasing size of our families!

Ciara and I studied GCSE Art and A Level Chemistry together and have since taken very different career paths… she did Fine Art and I did Chemical Engineering. In the last year both of us have decided to take the helm of new adventures and in the last couple of days we have spoken for the first time in 22 years. The result… an exciting new collaboration.

#ciarafinnegan is providing the art work and illustrations for a new booklet The Maths Mum is producing. I’m a great believer in ‘things happen for a reason’ and this is just another example of how important and supportive friends can be. Even ones that haven’t spoken for years.

Ciara loves drawing penguins and ducks and the ‘Dividing of the Fish’ illustration is a sample of what’s to come.
